Nana is a 1944 Mexican film directed by Celestino Gorostiza and Roberto Gavaldón. It is based on Émile Zola's 1880 novel Nana and is the final film of Mexican actress Lupe Vélez.
Plot
The novel, which has the same title as the Émile Zola book, tells the story of Nana, a French woman who works as a prostitute in the 19th century.

This was Lupe Vélez's final film, and she took her own life later that same year.
Another Mexican version of Nana, titled Nana, was made in 1985. It was created and starred in by Irma Serrano.
