Malta Music Awards

The Malta Music Awards (MMA) is an annual music awards ceremony that has been held since October 20, 1995. It is organized by Mega Music Malta in partnership with Public Broadcasting Services and Magic Malta. The goals of the Malta Music Awards include encouraging local artists, recognizing their achievements from the previous year, honoring artists for their lifetime contributions to Maltese music, supporting new talent, promoting Maltese music, helping artists improve their work, celebrating Maltese artists who have achieved success internationally, supporting local talent, showcasing local talent to help it grow and achieve international success, and increasing public interest in the local music industry.

Ceremonies

The first Malta Music Awards event took place on October 20, 1995, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The 1997 Malta Music Awards were held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The 1998 Malta Music Awards were held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on October 23.

The Malta Music Awards of 1999 were held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The Malta Music Awards of 2001 were held on October 20 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The 2003 Malta Music Awards were held on October 20 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The Malta Music Awards of 2007 were held on October 20 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The Malta Music Awards of 2008 were held on October 20 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The 2009 Malta Music Awards were held at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre on December 5.

The Malta Music Awards of 2010 were held on November 27 at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre. This event celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Malta Music Awards.

The 2011 Malta Music Awards were held on November 26 at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre.

The 2012 Malta Music Awards were planned for November 24 at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali.

This edition of the Malta Music Awards was held at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre on February 3.

The 2014 Malta Music Awards ceremony was held at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre on February 9.

The 2020 Malta Music Awards marked the 25th anniversary of the event. The ceremony was held at The Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre on March 7, 2020.
