Free energy suppression, also called new energy suppression, is a belief that certain energy sources that could work without pollution and without cost are being hidden by governments, companies, or groups that support certain ideas. Some devices that are said to be hidden include machines that supposedly run forever without stopping, cold fusion energy generators, generators based on a torus shape, technology copied from alien sources, systems that supposedly allow movement without gravity, and other energy sources that are not proven to work or are impossible according to science.
Claims
Some people claim that technology was hidden or weakened starting in the mid-1800s. These claims say that government groups, companies, special interest groups, and some inventors may have been involved. The special interest groups are often linked to industries like fossil fuels or nuclear power, which could be harmed if new energy technologies became widely used.
Claims about this suppression include:
- Some say that scientists and schools have limited research on new energy sources by controlling what studies are published and by applying pressure to researchers.
- Others say that machines exist that can take energy from unusual sources, like the energy in empty space, and use it for little or no cost. These machines are said to be hidden or blocked.
- Some claim that patents for inventions, such as car engines that use 100 miles of fuel per gallon, have been bought by others to stop them from being used.
People who have been said to face problems for their research include Stanley Meyer, Eugene Mallove, and Nikola Tesla. Supporters of free energy say Tesla created a system called the Wardenclyffe Tower that could provide unlimited energy without cost. However, Tesla’s system was meant to send energy without cost, but the energy itself still needed to be created in the usual way.
Some people who believe in these ideas include Gary McKinnon, a hacker who looked for proof of a secret free energy device by breaking into computer systems.
Supporters of the Tartaria theory believe that an ancient civilization called Tartaria, which was destroyed by a flood, once had free wireless energy. They say governments are hiding this history.
